shower. But as I write, it's after 5:00 pm and the sun is still shining, and the birds are still swarming the feeders that were filled this morning but are nearly empty now. The sun will set at 6:53; yesterday it was 5:52. Kind of fascinating how we can just manipulate time, and even daylight. Beginnings are a kind of time manipulation, too. We periodically (think New Year's Eve, Samhain, Rosh Hashana, etc.) try to wipe the slate clean, undo--or at least leave behind-what no longer serves us.
I've been a blogger since 2009, but a year ago switched jobs, and sacrificed time for a little more peace of mind. The blog fell by the roadside, neglected and abandoned. Lately though my oldest friend (we met over 40 years ago) has been asking when I'd return to it; her latest email asked "you do remember you had a blog, right???". At the same time, the Universe has sent me a few neon signs that it's time to write again, not only the blog, but to finally begin the story in me that needs telling. It's time to begin. And so, in this month that harbors Spring, the penultimate symbol and season of rebirth and renewal, I'm resuming blogging, but with a new look and a new page.
The theme of this new blog? Good question! I guess we'll find out together. In the meantime, if you're curious about what came before, please feel free to visit here and catch up. Welcome!
